About Us
Welcome to Amplitude Audio. We are Calgary’s home of guitar and bass amplifier service and repair. We specialize in instrument tube amps – vintage, modern, amp head or combo. If its got a tube in it, we’ll take look at it.
Has your amp completely or intermittently stopped amping? Does your amp hum or buzz? Is your amp in poor health? We’ll fix it to be as good, or better than new. Are you selling or buying an amp and want a full evaluation prior to the sale? We do that as well. We also offer component upgrades, modifications, and restorations. In general, many repairs come down to simple maintenance issues. Every service includes cleaning what’s dirty, tightening what’s loose and inspecting everything to ensure your amp safely and reliably operates for years to come.
We provide many services for electric guitars and basses, such as re-stringing, set-ups (neck and action adjustments, intonation), pick-up swaps and electronics upgrades. In addition, we offer pedalboard organization solutions and repair faulty instrument and pedalboard cables.
We also offer some services to solid-state amplifiers and pedals, provided the issue isn’t digital. If it’s not something we can handle, we can likely recommend someone who does.
